Gone But Not Forgotten

Our beloved Hoopty X7 was stolen last night. With any luck the robbers will lock themselves in the car since the passenger door doesn't open from the inside. At the very least, hopefully they'll open the windows this winter only to realize that when it is really cold, the windows don't go back up. I'm sure she has been parted out and is sitting in a dump somewhere. Granted the X7 wasn't worth much. But it ran great AND IT WAS PAID FOR!!! Besides, can you put a price on sentimental value? I think not. Good bye maroon Honda Accord LX Hoopty X7. We love you!

YOU SAY IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY.....

.....IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TO YEAH!!! We held Lukie's 6th birthday (NOTE-HE'S SIX - YIKES!) at the Fairmont Aquatic Center. And when they say aquatic they mean lazy river, water slide, happy fun horsin' around time in the pool. It was a great party. And even better for the parents since they didn't have to clean and prepare the house. Thank you Fairmont!

I'm Hot For Teacher.....Must Be SCHOOL TIME!!!

The boys recovered in time for the start of school. We scarfed down the traditional breakfast at the Blue Plate diner (chocolate chip pancakes) followed by lots and lots of new school year book learnin'. Both boys have great teachers. That is to be expected though since Dilworth is the BEST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ON THE PLANET!

The Summer Vacation Beat Down

The boys passed out on the ride home from the airport. Thank you family! We all had a great summer vacation!

We arrived back in Utah to a bountiful home garden harvest. Some delicious. And some WEIRD and delicious. We'll call it the really excited tomato.

The Home Land

Pictures can't capture the beauty of Lake Michigan. But Lake Michigan waves crashing CAN help drown out the boys fighting as they run to the water.....and THAT is beautiful.
